Here's how it went...

Hello MiNdependents!

I believe there are some new friends checking out our holy of holies here and I'd like to welcome all of you. First, a quick recap of last night's meeting at the urban bean.

About fifteen people were there at 7 and a few stragglers came in a bit later. We basically discussed our plans and volunteer needs for this weekends event. Volunteers who want to decorate need to be there at 8:00 am. Greeters by 9:00 a.m. I'm going to try to print up some stickers we can put on ourselves (since we can't put up any signs anywhere) that say somethign like "Are you here for OBAMA too? Talk to me!" Or something like that. Greeters will become our walking advertisements.
We're a little worried about the AV setup, if there's anyone out there who knows anything about this, we could use your help. Our collective nightmare is that we'll get 300 people there and not be able to figure out how to work the television, like some geriatric history teacher pounding on the VCR in gradeschool. No one else shares that memory? Anyway I think we'll pull it off. The event is being broadcast by CSPAN.
We'll have a hat to pass to cover the cost of the coffee and decorations we'll be providing.
After the announcement, everyone is invited to come downstairs to the Global Market Meeting room and we'll hear Rybak speak, Remington, and then a couple of our organizers.
I thought I was replying to a viagra ad and offered to speak through email and now I guess I'm stuck with it. They're looking for other speakers too. Just to say why you like Obama basically. Contact Paul Provost if you're interested. Other than that, it was pretty succesful. George brought some Iron-on t-shirt transfers for people to wear.
People need to go to the Wiki site (click the lurid green link to the right), download fliers, and canvas this whole town. If we can bring in a huge crowd to the Global market, they probably will let us use the place again. Maybe we can even put up a sign next time.

Chances are you read "down" so you've already been to my daily analysis blurb above. If not, check it out.

And...Keep hoping.
