Wow, what a week!
My friends and I got a twins season ticket pack - meaning I get to go to the opener and the last regular season game ever played in the metrodome. I also get to see the despised Milwaulkee Brewers from the first row (upper deck of course, I'm not made of money)
So that, is awesome.
More immediately, this is the week that the Watchmen finally comes out. I've been very closely watching the previews and the music is very intense, I think rightly intense. And also, the guy who plays the Comedian looks exactly like the Comedian. Whoever he is, he's so hot right now. I only know him as Denny Duchette. And if you (there's that absent singluar version of you again) know who that is you are either A: a girl, or B: obviously coming from no place to judge me.
Mikey and I and Noah are getting together Wednesday to watch Noah's compilation of all the teasers, trailers, previews, leaks, behind the scenes, interviews and whatever else he's found. He's really quite talented, and unemployed, so I imagine it could eat up a good chunk of our time.
Then Thursday is THE NIGHT. Well, technically its Friday morning. Am I the only one who finds this system of timekeeping confusing?
Perhaps we should all be on a 168 hour week. That way you could say "I'll meet you at 123 and you'd know exactly what day and what hour, without having to specify. It might make anyone who uses that system inherently better at math too, since you have to subtract the number from 168. And once you get that number, divide it by 24, which gives you the days before sunday, and the number of hours before the turnover of the day. Simple as pie! 123 is what you people from the stone age called...er...45...Friday at 9pm.
Maybe someone else could check my math there. Doubtful. I'm talking into an empty paper bag here.
Blogging is sort of like yelling into a cave with perfect sound refraction. You yell in, and exactly what you yell comes right back at you. Well, one day we'll update this site. And we'll let you know how the movie goes. Only four days of work until it, then what's sure to be one awful day after it before the weekend...I don't think I have any plans this weekend. Except probably resting from the stomping my soul will receive at the hands of Watchmen. I wish they'd show it back to back, then I could just go from the theatre to work.
